1. Preheat oven to Gas Mark 6/200°C.<br />

2. Mix the grated apple into the mincemeat. Unfold filo pastry and use half of it to line 18 patty tins, layering 4 small squares of pastry into each patty tin, brushing each layer with the melted butter.<br />

3. Place a teaspoonful of mincemeat into each pastry case. Top with pieces of the remaining filo pastry, scrunched up into folds. Mist each one with light oil.<br />

4. Alternatively cut the Filo pastry into 2 long strips place a teaspoonful of mincemeat into the corner then fold the pastry corner to corner like a samosa.<br />
<br />
5. Bake for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Dust with icing sugar.
